Random Summer July 2016

The Gardea's moved again so my mom brought the kids to our house  for a few days. We had to hit Krazy Air & we took the kids to the A.J. pool the day before. Life is always fun with cousins!

Gordon had a Home & Garden show the same weekend - after church Carley brought my red heals down to wear & Lola loved them. She has her keys ready to hit the road in her car.

We had a fun family outing to the new QC Sprouts during a monsoon rain & dust storm. We had a stop at Yogurt Jungle after.

Sometimes my favorite family outings are these simple relaxed ordinary times together :)

On the way home Lola kept putting 2 binkies in her mouth & shaking her head back & forth!! Haa haa!

Silly Lola

Mya got to go to "Feed My Starving Children" with her Activity Day group for a service project so C, L, & I went to the library. The girls had a lot of fun playing together! Carley has been great at helping & playing with Lola. They've been having dance parties & have become bath buddies now that Mya takes a shower. Lola loves the little T.V. center at the library were she can see herself on the T.V. We also got some cool books for .75 at the little used book store. Later the same day Carley got to go with her friend Harley to Sunsplash. She even went on a few bigger tube slides by herself & had tons of fun!

Build-A-Bear & DQ

With summer quickly coming to a end I thought it would be fun to surprise the girls with a trip to Build-A-Bear! It was fun as they tried guessing all morning what the surprise was going to be. They WERE excited & finally guessed as we were walking toward the mall! It was Lola's first time actually building a bear or in her case a dog but she was fascinated! She picked the dog & hugged it's carcass & happily handed it over to get stuffed. She's been sleeping with it since.

Side note: right before the Flagstaff trip my left lymph node was swollen & thought I may be getting a cold. By the time I got home it was so swollen & I started feeling terrible that I ended up at Urgent Care with an antibiotic for an infection so I've been feeling pretty sick but still trying to keep the summer fun rolling for the kids with out over doing it. G has been extra great helping around the house & with the kids.
We've been getting a sitter (Emily) for Lola during the summer movie on Monday's but this week there was a conflict so she came with us. She did great except for when we left she screamed all the way to the car & the same thing on the build-a bear day - I think she was having a lot of fun & didn't want to leave. She's been quite the stinker the last several months but just in the last week or two she's really starting to obey more & act better in public - so enjoyable! She was even good at the library today - with Carley following her around :) the big girls seem to be enjoying her more as well (except when they put a "no Lola allowed" sign out or make a wall to block her out)! Lola has been REALLY enjoying throwing things away... sippy cups, my pile of stretchy pants.. such a helper that Lola. Mya & Carley have loved playing Kirby (Mya's new game) & Just Dance (borrowed from Grandma). They've been building forts & using their amazing imaginations!

Flagstaff Girls Trip

Mya made this super funny drawing for grandma before we left for Flag. It shows different breeds of dogs with the final breed as the Mya dog! lol!

Carley fell & got hurt while we were packing up & Lola for the first time asked Carley "ok?" & then gave her a hug - sooo sweet & cute!

July 6th-9th
Headed to Flagstaff with all 3 girls by myself for the first time!

The first day we hung out at grandmas for several hours while we waited for everyone to show up.

M & C love playing in the front yard corner where I spent a lot of time playing as a kid.

We had races in the driveway, went for a short walk, & I showed the girls the oak groove that we love to play in.

Everyone traveled up really well - we stopped in Camp Verde for lunch at McDonald's & even ran into Camille & her kids.

Lola loved my moms slide & spent a lot of time on the back porch sliding.

19 1/2 months

After the Gardeas arrived & mom got home from work Chimp & Ashlee picked up La Fonda for dinner & then we went to Bushmaster park to play. The Hoopes girls joined us there with their kids.

Party day 1. We went to Oak Creek (Banjo Bills) for a picnic & to play in the creek. It was absolutely beautiful! The kids had a blast squirting water guns, having mud fights, climbing rocks, wading in the water, & mom made the best lunch ever! Lola clearly enjoyed the lunch...

Mya the brave - rescuing cousins that were trapped on the rocks. Mya & Paige were BFF's this trip - a mini Nicole & Hannah.

Lola loved playing in the mud.

Carley was nervous at first but after lunch was a daredevil. She yelled to me across the creek "I don't need you to help me anymore mom!"
Carley had a blast playing with Reggie, Carson, & Ruby - the 4 amigas! Lola also loved Ruby "be" - she carried her around & helped her!

After the creek we drove into Sedona for ice cream & then back to my moms for the kids to play. The toilet overflowing & the basement flooding was an exciting way to end the day! We grabbed Taco Bell for dinner & then hit the hay early.

Party day #2 Bearizona!

Lola's first time - we rode this super cool tour bus through the drive around part. Every time we saw any animal Lola would say "Go" for goat & then after she couldn't see them she'd want to know where the "go's go" (goats go)?

Lola usually likes goats put got really scared at the petting zoo when one kept licking her skirt & stroller like crazy. We hit the bird show but it was a little boring this time around & Lola had to be taken out early - to much sitting around.

Carley acting like a duck "send this to dad".

Grandma Nae Nae & Momma Diane with their grand kids who came on the trip! The adorable baby bears are behind them.

After grabbing an Icee & hitting the gift shop we headed back to grandmas.
Mya got a flute (it actually worked for a 1/2 day), Carley got a pink dream-catcher (she's been wanting one for a while to help with bad dreams), & Lola got a butterfly necklace (Carley has worn it the most).

Everyone came back to grandmas for pizza & then we all went to the aquaplex to swim. Lola loved the dragon painted on the wall & kept growling at it.
The next day the girls & I stayed to play/had lunch at a good little Mexican food place (bring home)/did my hair & headed back home just before dinner.
We had a really great time & can't wait to do it again!

Gordon & Kayleen at Tarzan. G had the house cleaned up & the pool drained when we got home. He also had a fun night out golfing with Ben W. while we were away.
