Gingerbread Houses

It's a Palmer Christmas tradition to make homemade gingerbread houses. Gordon took the girls up to Taylor (the Thursday before Christmas) this year to make them with his parents, sister Meg & her kids. As always they had lots of FUN!

I missed out on the action this year but am SUPER DUPER thankful to Gordon for giving me a day off to recover from my H E _ _ month & get things ready for Christmas. I know the girls had a blast playing with cousins, wrestling with Grandpa Coach, & having some 1 on 1 with their dad.

Little Feet

Carley's first paint job!! I love these little feet or as she likes to call them "iggies" aka piggies.

Dance Recital

Mya's been taking dance for about the last 6 months & LOVES it! The class is called "Princess Dance". These are pictures from her first in class recital.

Mya did a GREAT job. At one point she slipped & fell flat on her back but I was so proud of her that after some crying she pulled herself together & finished the recital.

Side note: Carley was a pure embarrassment during the recital. She kept trying to go out & dance or stand in line with the girls. She was crying & getting all crazy - I'm really surprised we didn't get kicked out. She will not be attending the next recital but once she turns 2 I will probably enroll her in dance as well.

Tree Time

We put our Christmas tree up early this year (the last night in November). Mya & I just got back from a mommy/daughter night watching "Tangled".

This is the first year we put the tree in our front window - I really liked it.

This is the best picture we got of Carley that night - she wasn't very presentable...

First Fall 2010 Zoo Trip

We have a season pass to the zoo & love to go with friends as often as possible but it's also really relaxing just to go by ourselves sometimes. This is our first fall 2010 visit (finally cool enough - the week of Thanksgiving) & Carley's first visit since she started walking. SO FUN!

Carley had a ball chasing the ducks

Mya in the cave. The girls had a blast playing in here - we spent most of our time here & looking at monkeys. I think we saw them all.
Right after I took this picture they both fell down & started crying LOL!
Yuck!

Yard Work

Gordon & Mya with a little help from Carley winterized the grass & installed lighting. It looks wonderful! Mya's job is to scare the birds off so that they don't eat the seeds. She runs outside screaming & they all go flying. She also asks me if I want to go do some yard work. Or she'll tell me that she & dad work really hard. Love it!

Thanksgiving was a few weeks after this & I didn't get any pictures but we went to Taylor to spend a few days. Dinner was wonderful & everyone was there except Mandi's family. Then everyone left right after so we had the house to ourselves & spent a little time with Kaylene & Kent's fam.
