August 2016

8/5 a quick trip to the mall for a cookie & a carousal ride (I think she's more impressed with real horses).

8/7

G took the girls to Taylor for the weekend! They met up with Ben & his kids for some fun & a race.
G ran the High Mountain 1/2 marathon & got 2nd in his age group!!

The kids at a super fun park.

More horse riding!

I'm impressed every time I see them ride!

Lola was DYING to ride & finally got a chance after a nap right before they came home.

I got a fun weekend to myself! My mom came down & we had fun eating, getting facials, Thai massages, & chatting. So relaxing!

Lola went right over to Carley to sit with her like this. She loves her "CarRee"! & "My" (Mya) too!

8/11 - Mya FINALLY lost her tooth at school. After months of complaining about it Ada gave her the tip to twist & pull & it worked! Hallelujah!!

8/11/16
15 year anniversary!
We went to California in June for our trip so we just had a nice relaxing evening at home on the actual day. I believe we got take out Olive Garden & watched TV. Our favorite thing to do :)

Mod Pizza. 8/16
Mya has been not wanting to go to school & had been a little down so G suggested a family Mod Pizza night! It was a hit! The girls loved building their own pizzas & walking around outside. Mya has since had a better attitude about school.

Friday - hat day at school. 8/19
Carley received  the "torch" for her class at school for  being a good citizen & picking up trash during recess. Her name was called over the announcements & her class got to have the torch in their class for a week (a torch because of the Olympics).

Carley after a super fun b-day party for one of her BFF's Harley at Matuku Island.

 8/20
Charli, Harley, Carley

Family movie night - we've really been enjoying doing this - it's becoming a little tradition. 8/21

Hangin in dads truck. 8/24

Daddy/daughter night - all bathed & enjoying some sisterly T.V. time.

While Gordon & Mya worked Carley, Lola, & I enjoyed a QT treat!

Mya wanted to earn some extra money for an upcoming book fair & G told her that if she came & worked with him on a Saturday she could earn $10. She lasted the entire time, was very helpful, & worked hard. We are sure proud of this little cutie! 8/27/16

Mya decided to run for class representative of her 4th grade class. She had to make a campaign poster & write a speech to deliver in front of her classmates. This is the picture we used for her poster that read "If you want a real Hero vote Mya".

M & C having some fun at party city while we were grabbing some campaign items for Mya. They didn't even know who these 2 were - so funny!

The girls love Mario - I'm hoping they pick this for their Halloween costumes this year & Lola can be the mushroom.

Campaign poster! She got elected!!
She also gave out super hero pop rocks that said "Vote Mya".
8/29 (she found out Friday 9/2 that she & her BFF were elected).

All snuggled up.
She's started saying thank you (tank (pause) uuuuu) this month - we all can't get enough of it. She's talking more & more - adorable!!

We grabbed lunch with Gordon & then went over to check out the landscaping he did at my dads house (it looks awesome!). Lola took a quick sneak wade in the pool!

I started a little toddler play group for Lola & 5 of her little friends. The moms take turns once a week watching all the kids while the other moms get a break. She cries when I first drop her off but it's getting better each week. My hope is that this will help her with nursery as well & she's done better the last 2 weeks..

G's dream come true!! A new awesome extended cab truck that he loves more than anything!! Old whitey started having some problems so we decided to take the plunge & just get a new truck. It's sooo nice! 8/30/16

G had a TON of side work this month so we ended up getting a new grill, lawn mower, some frying pans, a few house decorations, & curtains for Lola's room (she says ahhh wow whenever we open/close them).
